Rosemary Croutons with FIAMO Clay Oven
Oven baked croutons are one of the most addictive little treats that just need to be prepared in no time. These tiny and perfectly baked cubes elevate any creamy soup or salad to a whole new level of deliciousness. All it takes is stale bread, oil and salt! Why waste leftover bread just because it's no longer perfectly fresh? It can do many things! Today it’s croutons, along with tomato papas , breadcrumbs, bread pudding, and more. Loin buns are no more! Today will be croutons cooked to perfection in a pizza oven . let's start!
Supplies:
- Fiamo Mobile Version 600mm Diameters Gas Clay Pizza Oven
- Infrared thermometer
- Baking sheet or pan
Ingredients:
- 300 grams cubed day old bread
- 1-2 sprigs of minced rosemary
- Salt to taste
- 50 grams olive oil - about 1/3 cup
Directions:
- Fiamo Mobile Version 600mm Diameters Gas Clay Pizza Oven to 350°-375°F - 176°-190°C.
- Cut the bread into small cubes.
- Slide the rosemary off the stem and mince finely.
- Place the bread cubes, rosemary, salt into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Mix well.
- Spread the bread cubes over the pam or a baking sheet.
- Transfer the croutons into the gas oven for a few minutes. Watch them closely and give them a good stir once in a while to keep them from toasting too dark.
- The croutons are ready when the bread cubes have toasted to a golden brown on all sides.
- Serve these flavorful crunchy morsels of goodness on a salad, scattered over creamed soups, on a charcuterie board, or simply as a delicious snack! Croutons can be stored in a cool dry place in and airtight container. Enjoy!
